According to Allnigeriasoccer.com, West Ham United are interested in signing Lateef Omidiji in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Go Ahead Eagles striker has spent the past one week being shown around West Ham’s academy facilities.

The 15-year-old is training with West Ham’s Under-15, Under-16 and Under-18 squads at the moment, according to the report.

Allnigeriasoccer.com has also claimed that Nottingham Forest in the Championship had invited Omidiji to train with the club in March, and that Arsenal are interested in the talented and promising teenager midfielder.

One for the future

Omidiji is only 15 years of age, and it will take the young striker a while to establish himself in the first team at West Ham, Forest or Arsenal.

However, the Nigerian youngster will be a good and smart long-term signing for any club in England, and he will be a success if he is allowed to develop and grow at his own pace.
