Newcastle United are yet to complete a transfer this summer, but Kyle Scott is said to be heading to St. James’ Park.

According to a report in the Northern Echo, Kyle Scott is set to sign for Newcastle United.
Scott had been wanted by Rafael Benitez initially, and had discussed a move to Tyneside with the former Newcastle boss.
Benitez has now departed St. James’ Park, but Newcastle have continued to track the free agent midfielder, and appear to have got their man.
Scott is said to be set to pen a three-year deal at Newcastle, and should add some much needed depth to their midfield.
Newcastle have lost Mo Diame this summer, while the futures of Isaac Hayden and Sean Longstaff remain in some doubt.
Scott was released by Chelsea earlier this summer, after he made just one senior appearance for them.

The youngster’s arrival at Newcastle is highly unlikely to appease supporters’ concerns, but it is at least a minor step forward for the club.
Scott is not exactly the statement signing Newcastle need to convince supporters that they actually do have some ambition to improve.
However, having more depth can only be considered a good thing, as Newcastle are so desperately short of options.
Scott will surely step straight into Newcastle’s first-team, with Steve Bruce’s arrival as manager likely to be confirmed soon, according to The Sun.
