Hibernian boss Lennon signed the playmaker while manager at Celtic Park.
Neil Lennon is plotting a January approach for Celtic outcast Kris Commons on loan, according to the Edinburgh Evening Times.
Commons is yet to feature for the Bhoys under Brendan Rodgers and reportedly has no future at Celtic Park.

Lennon, however, is said to view him as the ideal player to push his Hibernian side on in the New Year, and the 33-year-old is allegedly receptive to the idea of reuniting with the manager who brought him to Glasgow in January 2011.
According to the Edinburgh Evening Times, Commons’ representative Martin Reilly is set to meet Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell to discuss his client’s situation, and establish whether or not a January move can be facilitated.
Commons, who shares an agent with Lennon, is said to be one of the Bhoys’ highest earners – reportedly taking home around £20,000 a week – which is only likely to complicate matters.

That said, the Englishman’s contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign and Celtic may be willing to cut him from the books early.
Dylan McGeouch, Liam Henderson and Anthony Stokes have each moved from Celtic to Hibernian on loan over the past few campaigns and the two clubs are thought to share a positive relationship.
