Everton are reportedly ready to make a £20m move for Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg in January.

According to The Mirror, Everton are ready to make a move for Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg, in a deal which could cost around £20m.
The Toffees have a star striker already at the club in Romelu Lukaku, but with question marks over the Belgian’s long-term future at Goodison Park, Everton may look to bring in another striker to prepare for Lukaku’s possible exit.
Enner Valencia has offered very little since joining on loan from West Ham in August, and now a new striker is being linked with a move to Merseyside.
The Mirror claim that Everton want Ajax star Kasper Dolberg – and are ready to make a £20m move for the teenager in the January transfer window.
Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg
Dolberg, 19, has hit eight goals in just 12 appearances for Ajax this season, whilst adding two goals in four games in the Europa League this term as well.
The Danish starlet hit at stunning hat-trick in Ajax’s 5-0 win over NEC Nijmegen on Sunday, and it’s claimed that his performance has now convinced Everton that January is the right time to make a move for the striker, before any of Europe’s giants try to sign him.
Kasper Dolberg in action for Ajax
The move would see manager Ronald Koeman raid former club Ajax, who the Dutchman both played for and manager, and he’s believed to have been spoken to by a contact in the Netherlands, urging him to move for Dolberg.
Compared to former Ajax star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Dolberg has pace, strength and superb finishing, and at just 19, he has plenty of potential – something Everton would be paying for if they do cough up £20m for the Dane.
