According to the Daily Mail, Everton boss Ronald Koeman is looking to engineer a January overhaul of his squad, with a number of players primed for the chopping block.
The Toffees drew 1-1 at home with Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, meaning it’s just four points in the last two games for Koeman’s men and only one win in the last nine games.

After such an impressive start to the season, the recent slump has been a major concern for Everton, and it’s clear that manager Koeman will have to do more work to his squad in the upcoming transfer windows.
Koeman did land Maarten Stekelenburg, Ashley Williams, Idrissa Gueye, Yannick Bolasie and Enner Valencia over the summer, but it seems that he’s looking for more new faces in the January transfer window.

The Daily Mail claim that Koeman has told the Everton board that he wants five new signings, whilst a number of players could leave Goodison Park too.
It’s stated that Koeman wants another goalkeeper to challenge Stekelenburg, a central defender, two midfielders and a forward, with three targets named; Manchester United duo Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin as well as Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

With players potentially arriving on Merseyside, three players could leave the club, with Everton and Koeman allegedly willing to listen to offers for midfielder James McCarthy and attacker Oumar Niasse, whilst winger Aiden McGeady – currently on loan with Championship club Preston – will also be available to buy.
Intriguingly, Koeman is also believed to be concerned about his ageing side, given that Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines and Gareth Barry are all over the age of 30 now, and the Dutchman is willing to sacrifice big name players to get Everton moving forward again.
