According to The Mirror, Everton boss Ronald Koeman has been given the green light to pursue summer deals for Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen and Malaga forward Sandro.

The Toffees lost 1-0 to Swansea City on Saturday afternoon to make it just one point in the last three games and no goals in that run.

Manager Koeman will be desperate to bring in new faces this summer to boost his squad, and with continued financial backing from Farhad Moshiri, Everton should be in the market for ambitious new signings this summer.

Now, The Mirror report that Koeman has been ‘given the green light’ to open talks over deals to bring Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen and Malaga forward Sandro to Goodison Park this summer.

Midfielder Klaassen, 24, has served as Ajax captain for almost two years now, and is something of an Amsterdam hero having come up through the ranks with the club.

This term, the Dutch international has hit 19 goals and ten assists in all competitions this season, building on last season’s impressive return of 15 goals as Koeman looks to add his compatriot to give Everton a goalscoring midfielder.

Meanwhile, former Barcelona attacker Sandro – who joined Malaga on a free transfer last summer – has racked up 14 goals in La Liga this season, impressing enough to generate major interest in his signature.

The 21-year-old can leave Malaga for just £5million this summer due to a clause in his contract, and Koeman appears keen to push through a deal for a talented attacker who can play out wide or up front.
