Liverpool will not be selling Liam Millar this summer, the Athletic say, as they feel he could continue to improve.
Liverpool loaned Millar out to Charlton Athletic in League One this season and the skillful winger caught the eye.
The Reds now want to relocate him in the Championship, with enquiries already made over acquiring his services from second tier sides.
Interestingly, Liverpool are said to have no interest in cashing in on Millar, which suggests that they may feel he has a very high ceiling.
At the age of 21, Millar is reaching a point where he will need to start showing real promise to break into Liverpool’s first-team.
But it seems that Jurgen Klopp’s side have not ruled that prospect out just yet.
Millar is quick, direct and possesses strong ability in possession.
However, his two goals and six assists in League One this term will surely need to be improved on next season if he is to force his way into Liverpool’s plans.

Millar’s problem is that he is not just competing with players back at Anfield, but also with others out on loan.
Liverpool sent Harvey Elliott to Blackburn Rovers last summer and his form in the Championship is likely to have him sat above Millar in the pecking order right now.
That being said, the youngster surely must be encouraged by Liverpool’s desire to keep him – and if he can push on after a promising loan spell at The Valley, he could have a very bright future ahead.
