Liverpool are hoping to unveil Jurgen Klopp as manager by the end of the week.
Liverpool hope to finalise a deal to appoint Jurgen Klopp as manager by the end of the week, The BBC report.
The BBC Klopp has asked to bring in Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz as assistants, a move which in itself shows he is open to becoming Brendan Rodgers’ replacement.
The Reds sacked Rodgers on Sunday after the Merseyside Derby draw with Everton, which left Liverpool with just three Premier League wins from eight games.
The German is out of work having left Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season, having led them to Europa League qualification after a terrible start to the 2014/15 campaign.
If Rodgers is appointed by the weekend, he will have a full week to prepare for the club’s first game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur after the international break.
It would appear at this stage Liverpool are ‘all in’ on securing Klopp as their next manager, and are not holding talks with anybody else.
If Klopp did not take the role now, it would be an even bigger shock than when Rodgers was inevitably dismissed at the weekend.
