Liverpool sources have played down their chances of landing Bayer Leverkusen striker Kai Havertz, according to Bleacher Report.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a massive fan of Havertz and would reportedly would love to work with the 20-year-old.
However, Klopp is unlikely to get the chance to manage the German international any time soon.
Liverpool have already missed out on Timo Werner this summer, and it seems that they will also have to watch Havertz join another club.
The Leverkusen forward has a host of admirers from a number of leagues, despite having a £90 million price-tag (Bleacher Report).
Liverpool simply do not have the funds to afford Havertz at this time, with the Anfield club really feeling the impact of the current global health crisis.
Liverpool are hardly desperate for new players given their success this term, but if they are static in the transfer window it will be a disappointment to many on Merseyside.
