Liverpool are reportedly chasing a January deal for Kerem Demirbay.

According to The Express, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is prioritising one signing for the January transfer window; Hoffenheim playmaker Kerem Demirbay.
The Reds have racking up wins this season but haven’t always been convincing in doing so, and fans want to see a new playmaker arrive in January having struggled for creativity at times.
Landing a player to replace Philippe Coutinho won’t be easy, but it seems that Klopp has identified one player that he believes can solve that particular problem.
The Express claim that Klopp is prioritising one January deal, as he wants to bring in Hoffenheim midfielder Demirbay when the transfer window re-opens.
Klopp worked with Demirbay at Borussia Dortmund, meaning an Anfield reunion could be on the cards for the pair amid weeks of rumours about Liverpool’s interest in the German international.
Demirbay, 25, had a stint with Hamburg before heading to Hoffenheim in 2016, and he has notched eight goals and 16 assists since making that move, showing off his playmaking abilities.

Klopp’s prior relationship with Demirbay may help, and the report adds that Demirbay is represented by the same agency as Liverpool stars Naby Keita and Sadio Mane, which may make a deal more straightforward.
It’s unclear just how much Demirbay would cost, but Klopp would surely hope that he can have a huge impact in the Liverpool midfield as they chase the Premier League title this season.
