Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is ‘expected’ to start the Merseyside derby, the Liverpool Echo say.
Wijnaldum was part of the Liverpool midfield who started against Aston Villa in their last outing, as they lost 7-2 at Villa Park.
The heavy defeat has led to some supporters to call for Jurgen Klopp to make changes to his side.
But it seems that Wijnaldum will keep his place for Liverpool, as they prepare to take on Everton.
Thiago Alcantara is now back in training, so Jurgen Klopp does have more options in midfield.
However, Wijnaldum is now ‘expected’ to be given the nod by the Reds boss, as he looks to get Liverpool back to winning ways.

Klopp sees the Dutchman as a key member of his starting plans, and even with Thiago fit, it appears that he will keep his place for now.
Wijnaldum, who was once hailed as perfect by Klopp on Liverpool’s official website, actually came close to leaving Anfield over the summer, but he opted to stay.
And the pressure will be on the 29-year-old and his Liverpool teammates to produce a strong performance on Saturday, otherwise serious questions will start being asked about their title defence.
