Liverpool have reportedly made yet another bid for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita.
According to German newspaper Bild, Liverpool have made a new bid of €83million (£75million) for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita.
The Reds have broken their transfer record this summer by signing winger Mohamed Salah from Roma, but they could not only eclipse that deal, they could go over double the £36.9million they paid for Salah (The Guardian).
RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita in action
Liverpool have been desperately attempting to lure midfielder Naby Keita away from RB Leipzig in Germany, and after a host of failed bids, manager Jurgen Klopp is back with another bid as he refuses to give up the pursuit.
German newspaper Bild report that Liverpool have now submitted a huge €83million (£75million) bid for Keita, giving Leipzig another offer to think about having so far fended off the Reds.
Keita, 22, only joined Leipzig from sister club Red Bull Salzburg last summer, but he became a star in the Bundesliga last season, notching eight goals and seven assists in 32 appearances for the club.
The Guinean international has impressed with his superb engine as well as his quality on the ball in the final third, with Klopp clearly viewing him as a vital addition to his Liverpool ranks ahead of the club’s return to the Champions League.

However, Leipzig have also qualified for the Champions League themselves, and whilst Keita has a £48million release clause that can be activated in the summer of 2018, the Bundesliga club are standing firm.
The situation has taken a strange turn too, as Keita was slammed on Monday for a rough challenge on team-mate Diego Demme in training, with Bild claiming that Keita reluctantly apologised amid suggestions that he is unhappy and wants his big-money move to Liverpool.
