The Daily Mirror claim that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be starting Fabinho alongside Jordan Henderson at centre back against Manchester City.
Fabinho has missed out on playing in Liverpool’s last three games, and his absence was sorely felt last night.
The Reds were downed by Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield, in what was another disappointing result for Klopp’s men.
Liverpool will now be eager to get their key players back for the weekend, and the Mirror does suggest that Fabinho will be fine.
That will be a boost for the Reds as the Brazilian has looked like their most accomplished centre-back this season, in the absence of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
But whether Liverpool supporters will be so pleased with the news that Henderson will stay in defence against City remains to be seen.

Henderson and Fabinho have looked solid together at the back, but Liverpool’s midfield doesn’t function as well without the pair involved further forward.
It should be noted that the report was written before Liverpool’s game last night, so perhaps Klopp’s mind could be changed.
But it does seem that Fabinho is currently set to partner Henderson at the back, in what could be a hugely important decision, ahead of a potentially decisive tie.
