Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Nicolo Barella.

Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon – and seemingly believe they can also beat the North Londoners to a signing as well.
The Reds saw goals from Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino get on the scoresheet in a fine win at Wembley Stadium, and manager Jurgen Klopp allegedly believes another win over Spurs could be coming in 2019.
The Express report that Klopp is confident that Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella will sign for Liverpool over Tottenham, with the Italian a wanted man ahead of the transfer window.
Barella, 21, has emerged as one of Italian football’s most promising young players, and Liverpool now seemingly hope to add the Under-21 international to the likes of Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Naby Keita, James Milner and Adam Lallana.
Strong relations in play
Klopp already has a host of midfield options at his disposal, and he may actually get more first-team football with Tottenham given their midfield needs, but Liverpool may look to use strong links to land a deal.

Liverpool have sold defender Ragnar Klavan out to Cagliari, and it’s believed that relations are subsequently strong between the two clubs, with Liverpool now looking to land Barella.
Diminutive but energetic and technically gifted, Barella can play deeper to dictate the play or as a box-to-box midfielder, and looks set to have a huge career.
Valued at around £35million, Barella would be another hefty investment for Liverpool, and seemingly another victory over Tottenham if Klopp can – as he he believes he will – pip Spurs to his signature.
