Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Norwich City defender Jamal Lewis, according to the Daily Mirror.

Liverpool are on the hunt for a new left-back, and Lewis has emerged on the Reds’ radar as a potential option.

Norwich were relegated with the leakiest defence in the Premier League over the past campaign, but Lewis still managed to catch the eye.

The Northern Ireland international proved to be a real threat going forward, with his pace proving to be a huge asset.

Lewis has now caught the attention of Liverpool’s scouts, with the Reds’ recruitment team said to admire his stats.

And Klopp also believes that Lewis could be a great addition to his squad, as he is a big fan of the Norwich’s player’s abilities.

Lewis does apparently want regular football at his next club, which means that Liverpool may need to persuade him that a move to Anfield would be good form him, as he would likely join as back-up.

But Klopp now really wants the 22-year-old to be on Merseyside next season, and that could see Liverpool push to sign him this summer.
