According to ESPN, Everton, Liverpool and West Ham United are among a clutch of Premier League clubs interested in signing Rosenborg midfielder Olaus Jair Skarsem.
Norway have produced a number of top young talents in recent years, with the likes of Martin Odegaard, Dennis Johnsen, Rafik Zekhnini, Kristoffer Ajer and Martin Samuelsen all earning moves in recent years.
Now, they appear to have another talented teenager on their hands, as Rosenborg’s Olaus Jair Skarsem is believed to be attracting major interest ahead of the January transfer window.

Skarsem, 19, has yet to make his Rosenborg debut, but he has been starring for their youth ranks, and has made four appearances in the UEFA Youth League this season, whilst he also has seven Norway Under-19 caps to his name.
Now, ESPN report that a host of Premier League clubs are chasing Skarsem’s signature, with Everton, Liverpool and West Ham United three of the main names in the race to sign the midfielder.
Brighton and Hove Albion and Leicester City are also understood to be keen on signing Skarsem, who may end up having his pick of the Premier League clubs in 2018, should they all make moves for him.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp will now seemingly go head to head for Skarsem’s signature, with the Merseyside duo potentially leading the race with the lure of European football.
Yet with compatriot Samuelsen already in the West Ham ranks, Skarsem may fancy a move alongside his fellow Norwegian in East London, with the interested Premier League sides hoping they can convince the midfielder to make the move.
