The Tottenham Hotspur boss was in a philosophical mood after his side’s FA Cup defeat on Saturday.

According to the Evening Standard, a number of key Tottenham players were left surprised after hearing Mauricio Pochettino’s post-match comments after their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.
The Argentine has earned rave reviews for the job that he has done in north London since taking over as manager of Spurs way back in 2014.

His failure to guide his side to major honours is beginning to draw criticism from some quarters, however, with his side developing the habit of underperforming when it really matters.
Pochettino left the door open to more rumours linking him with an exit from his role as Tottenham boss in the aftermath of his side’s defeat to United at Wembley on Saturday, by suggesting that the club needs more time to evolve, with or without him.
The Evening Standard claims that those comments from Poch have left many of Spurs’ key men, including Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane and Dele Alli surprised to say the least.

The report claims that those players’ futures at Tottenham are heavily dependent on the Argentine staying in charge of the club.
The Lilywhites are on the verge of achieving something very special, but it will be so easy for things to go the other way, if Poch leaves for pastures new this summer, and some of his key men follow suit.
