Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer is set to move to West Bromwich Albion, and could even be available this weekend.
West Brom and Spurs appear to have agreed a fee of £15 million for the 24-year-old defender.
Wimmer could now leave Spurs in the next 24 hours, and be available for West Brom’s match against Burnley at the weekend.
The Baggies have moved quickly to snap up Wimmer, amid rumours that Jonny Evans could be set to make a switch to Manchester City.
The Telegraph suggest that West Brom’s move for Wimmer does not mean that Evans will depart though.
Wimmmer has failed to break into Tottenham’s team during his time in North London.
The Austrian international has shown signs of quality when utilised by Mauricio Pochettino, but could not break into the Lilywhites’ line-up ahead of Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen or Toby Alderweireld.
If Spurs do sell Wimmer for £15 million it will take their summer intake to over £80 million from player sales, but they are yet to make an addition of their own.
