Former Rangers defender Kevin Muscat is now likely to join Ange Postecoglou at Celtic, according to SEN in Australia.
It’s claimed that Postecoglou will take charge of Yokohama F. Marinos for the final time against Honda FC on Wednesday.
He will then head to Celtic, and there is a ‘very good chance’ that Muscat will head to Celtic Park with him.
Postecoglou’s history with Muscat
Celtic-bound Postecoglou and Muscat go way back.
Postecoglou was Muscat’s captain when they played together at South Melbourne. He then coached and managed him at the same club.
Postecoglou then even had Muscat as his assistant with Melbourne Victory in 2012, before Muscat took on the full-time job with Postecoglou off with Australia.

What did Muscat say about Rangers?
Muscat to Celtic would see him return to Scotland having previously played for Celtic’s bitter rivals Rangers.
Last year, Muscat claimed that his one year at Rangers was ‘fantastic’ and that he ‘loved’ living in Glasgow.
The Australian hardman may now find a move back to Glasgow appealing, but switching allegiance from Rangers to Celtic may cause some questions.
