Newcastle United have seemingly received a boost in their pursuit of exciting winger Kenedy.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Kenedy is currently keen to return to Newcastle following his exceptional loan spell this past season, despite the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain eyeing a deal for the Brazilian.

Kenedy was arguably one of the surprises of the season across the entire Premier League. After a frustrating spell at Chelsea where he has never been able to force his way into the Blues’ first-team on a regular basis, the Magpies supporters may have been forgiven for feeling a little underwhelmed when Rafa Benitez brought him to St James’ Park in the midst of another seemingly-frustrating window for the Spaniard back in January.

However, the 22-year-old’s arrival proved to be a real catalyst for Newcastle’s superb upturn in form that not only took them away from the relegation zone in the top flight, but also allowed them to finish the campaign in the top-half just one year after they clinched the Championship title.

He scored two goals and provided two assists and often looked like the Magpies’ most dangerous player during the final months of the season. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Newcastle are not the only side keen on a summer deal.

The Daily Mail reports that Munich, PSG and RB Leipzig are all interested. However, despite the number of teams chasing his signature, the Mail adds that the winger is keen on a return to Newcastle.

With Kenedy reportedly interested in heading back to Tyneside, the onus is now on Mike Ashley to make sure that the move takes place, whether that be a loan or on a permanent basis.

Newcastle seemingly have a superb opportunity to get a very exciting piece of business done this summer, and given the stature of the clubs also interested, they should not need anymore motivation to shake a leg and try and get a move completed.
