Newcastle United are reportedly on the verge of bringing Kenedy back to St James’ Park.

Ever since Kenedy’s loan spell came to an end last season, the large majority of the Toon Army appear to have been urging Mike Ashley and Rafa Benitez to do all they can to get the Brazilian back for another spell.
The 22-year-old played a key role in the Magpies putting together a superb run in the second-half of last season that not only took them away from the relegation battle but also led them into the top-half of the Premier League table. He scored twice and contributed two assists.
And it appears that Kenedy’s return to Tyneside will be confirmed imminently, with the Daily Mail reporting that the winger has agreed to come back for another loan spell for the coming campaign.
One of the main concerns Newcastle fans may have had about the chances of bringing Kenedy back would have centred around the uncertainty surrounding Antonio Conte’s position. Sarri has been heavily linked with coming in at Stamford Bridge to take over from the Italian, and Newcastle supporters may have feared that his arrival could potentially change the path that Kenedy is on.

However, the Mail now reports that Kenedy’s exit is likely to be confirmed before Sarri’s appointment is finalised and that is certainly one major hurdle cleared for Benitez.
It would appear that the Magpies boss is working on a restricted budget once again this summer, so getting a player of Kenedy’s calibre in on loan has the potential to be a massive deal for the club if he can replicate the form that he showed last season.
