According to The Telegraph, Liverpool may not bother signing anybody to replace Georginio Wijnaludm this summer.
Wijnaldum’s contract expires this summer, and he confirmed after Sunday’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace that he is moving on.
Wijnaldum’s exit does leave a hole in Jurgen Klopp’s side, and Het Nieuwsblad in Belgium claim that the Reds want Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans as a replacement.
However, The Telegraph suggest that Liverpool may simply choose not to sign anybody in midfield and go with what they already have.
Jordan Henderson will be back next season to join Fabinho and Thiago, whilst there are ‘high hopes’ that Curtis Jones will take a big step forward next term.
The report even adds that Klopp maintains his faith in both Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who clearly have quality but have been hampered by injuries.

Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain have only combined for nine Premier League starts this season, and some had wondered whether they could be on the move after failing to live up to their lofty price tags.
Instead, they could be given bigger roles next season to help fill the void left by Wijnaldum, rather than pay another big fee for a player like Tielemans.
