According to the Daily Mail, West Bromwich Albion are closing in on a deal for Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant.
The Baggies have been pursuing Grant for most of the transfer window, and have so far been unable to tempt the Terriers into selling.
Huddersfield wanted around £17million for Grant, with Slaven Bilic picking him out as his top striking target having told the West Brom board to sign a pacy centre forward.
West Brom’s options are now limited after the international transfer window closed, and it’s now claimed that there is a feeling that both sides will settle on a structured deal soon.
West Brom are desperate for a new striker after losing Hal Robson-Kanu to injury, and that seems to have sparked new hope of landing Grant.
The 23-year-old is believe to be angling for a move to the Premier League, and with West Brom believing that he can not only help now but also earn them a profit, Grant looks to be heading to The Hawthorns.

Grant hit 19 goals in the Championship last season, having previously shown promise in the Premier League with four goals in 13 games following a January 2019 move from Charlton Athletic.
Grant is quick, strong and dangerous in front of goal, which fits what Bilic wants – and these new reports will give fans real hope a deal going through before next Friday’s deadline for EFL deals.
