Will Mauricio Pochettino stay on as Tottenham manager?

Mauricio Pochettino appeared to be joking when he said he could quit Tottenham if they win the Champions League final. Juventus are not convinced it was light hearted.

The Italian champions dispensed with the services of Max Allegri last week and are yet to appoint a new manager.

Tuttomercatoweb report Pochettino was discussed at a Juventus meeting yesterday and the club are prepared to wait until after the Champions League final.

Juventus reportedly believe that whether Tottenham win or lose, Pochettino could tender his resignation after the game as he has taken the club as far as he can.

They believe this to be an option viable enough, that they are prepared to wait until after the final before making a firm decision on their next manager.

Juventus do not have another clear and obvious contender, or at least not one they like as much as Pochettino.

There is just under a fortnight until the final, meaning Juventus are sacrificing precious time in the transfer window while they wait it out.

The report states Juventus are prepared to offer Pochettino a large salary, and would also like to sign Kieran Trippier and Christian Eriksen from Tottenham.

This could be a real waste of time on Juventus’ part, but even Tottenham fans could probably concede that Pochettino is worth waiting for, just on the off chance he does decide to walk away.
