Italian outlet CMW claim that Juventus are interested in a January move to sign West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta as he continues to shine for Brazil at the World Cup – but Juve will have to sell first, including the likes of Adrien Rabiot.
Paqueta, 25, joined West Ham in the summer for a club-record fee. But he has failed to replicate his Lyon form at the London Stadium as things stand, failing to score in 12 games, laying on three assists. His Brazil form has been good.
He has started games against Serbia, Switzerland and then South Korea in the last 16. Indeed, he scored a tidy volley to make it 4-0 against South Korea on Monday – Brazil progressing comfortably, winning 4-1. They face Croatia next.
The attacking midfielder has been playing in a slightly deeper role alongside Casemiro for Brazil. That has impressed Juventus who want midfield additions. Despite Paqueta joining West Ham in the summer, the Old Lady are interested.
CMW report that Juventus were tempted in the summer but he chose to move to England. But their interest remains. However, if they are to make a move, they need to shift a few players – including France midfielder Rabiot beforehand.

Could Paqueta be tempted by a move to Juventus just six months after joining West Ham? Perhaps. Juventus are a top side. So far, his West Ham spell has not worked. But he is a driven player. He will want to prove he can make it work.
The biggest obstacle to a move would be whether West Ham would accept losing Paqueta, so soon after their initial outlay. Surely, they will want to give their record signing as much time as possible to settle, and then thrive in London.
