Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is being linked with a move away from the club this summer.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici plans to watch Toby Alderweireld during Tottenham’s Champions League semi-final, ahead of a potential summer bid for the Belgian.
Alderweireld’s future at Spurs continues to be up in the air. The former Southampton man has enjoyed an outstanding season and has returned to being a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
But Calciomercato reports that a club will be able to open talks with the centre-back in the summer if they offer just £25 million due to a clause in his contract, and the Old Lady are one of the sides keen on landing the 30-year-old.
Calciomercato suggests that Juve’s sporting director Paratici will watch Alderweireld during Spurs’ last four clash with Ajax, the team who, of course, knocked the Serie A giants out of the competition in the previous round.

Tottenham fans appear to be holding out a little hope that Alderweireld may surprise everyone and decide to stay at Spurs beyond this summer. A while ago, it appeared inevitable that he would leave.
But Alderweireld is back to being a stalwart in Pochettino’s side at a time when Tottenham are on the cusp of an incredible achievement in Europe. And of course, the opening of the new stadium must improve the club’s chances of keeping the likes of Alderweireld, who may have previously considered their futures.
