Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi, with the Italian international also wanted by West Ham and fellow Serie A side AS Roma.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are looking to sign another central midfielder once they have completed a deal to bring Leandro Paredes to Turin from PSG, with Frattesi now an alluring option for Massimiliano Allegri ahead of the new Italian league season this weekend.
The Bianconeri have been linked with Frattesi before back at the start of the window, yet Juventus are now looking at a more concrete approach for the 22-year-old midfielder, with West Ham and Roma also reportedly interested in the Sassuolo prospect.
The Irons have already signed one player from the Neroverdi this summer in Italian attacker Gianluca Scamacca, and Frattesi is another player West Ham could take from Sassuolo, though interest from Juventus could now ruin any hope David Moyes has of bringing a midfielder to the London Stadium.
With a reported valuation of £26m, Frattesi would be a hefty signing this summer for West Ham, but with Juventus now in the race for the midfielder, there’s a good chance that Sassuolo will allow the youngster to leave in a more reasonably-priced deal.
Indeed, West Ham have already missed out on one midfield target this summer in Amadou Onana, and with Juventus now plotting on signing Frattesi, there’s a good chance that the Hammers could be left in the dust for another talented player on their radar this transfer window.
West Ham must move on from Frattesi with Juventus plotting signing
West Ham’s luck this week has got off to the worst possible start with Onana set to join Everton and now Juventus looking to sign Frattesi, with these double transfer blows enough to get Moyes looking at other targets who would 100% be committed to joining the east London side this summer.
After all, West Ham need to sign a central midfielder before the closure of the transfer window, and Juventus plotting a move for an Italian target in Frattesi means we all know where this saga is heading, and for the Irons, they’re better off just moving on to other players rather than duking it out with the Serie A titans.
