As per a report by A Bola, Juventus have joined Arsenal and Chelsea in their pursuit of Porto winger Pepe.

Going back to the summer, it was claimed by the Portuguese newspaper that Mikel Arteta’s side had first shown an interest in signing the Brazilian.

However, the Sun have also relayed that the North London side sent scouts to watch their transfer target in the flesh and were blown away.

Furthermore, Record have recently mentioned that Chelsea are also keen on signing the 25-year-old, whose scouts were also present to watch the sought-after winger and were extremely impressed.

While some may not be blown away by the fact that the silky wideman having 2 league goals and 4 assists this season, the eye-test proves just why both London clubs fancy a move for him.

One of the most fascinating aspects about the Porto star is his versatility.

In 6 Champions League matches this season, Pepe has operated on both flanks, as well as in attacking midfield.

And perhaps the most surprising revelation is the natural right winger has also been deployed as a right-back.

It seems as if Juve seem to be intrigued by the Arsenal and Chelsea-linked operator as well.

While Pepe’s 20 goals in 86 appearances at Gremio alongside his displays in Portugal are impressive, the question remains whether any top club would take the punt on him?

As reported by A Bola, Juventus are now the third elite club in Europe to be showing an interest in the Porto winger.

However, it has been reiterated that for any club to prise him away, they must shell out a £65 million fee towards his release clause.

Arsenal are unlikely to pay the big bucks for Pepe

While Chelsea have constantly been linked with signing Christopher Nkunku, they remain one of the most volatile sides in the transfer market since Todd Boehly’s arrival.

As a result, it is a challenge to predict whether they would splash the cash to sign Pepe.

Similarly, the whole host of resignations at Juventus puts a question mark around all facets of the club, including their recruitment policy.

But with Arsenal being one of the savviest clubs in the transfer market nowadays, it is unlikely that they spend a whopping £65 million to sign the talented, yet umproven Brazilian forward.
