Premier League giants Spurs are reportedly keen to sign Roma star Zaniolo for £43m – but Serie A champions Juventus are very interested too.

Juventus are stepping up their interest in Roma starlet Nicolo Zaniolo according to Tuttosport as they are worried about Tottenham Hotspur’s attempts to bring the Italian to North London.
Few had heard of Zaniolo this time last year but he has exploded onto the scene since joining Roma from Inter Milan as part of a deal that saw Radja Nainggolan go in the other direction. There is little doubt who got the better end of the deal.
As a result, the 19-year-old has caught the eye of some of Europe’s biggest clubs with Tuttosport claiming that Champions League finalists Tottenham were willing to pay a club-record £43 million for his sought-after signature.
Juventus are also very interested in Zaniolo, who Italy manager Roberto Mancini has likened to Paul Pogba (Gazzetta).

And while Tuttosport claims that the reigning Serie A champions are in ‘pole position’ for the teenager right now, they are concerned that Tottenham are stepping up their pursuit with the transfer window now open.
Zaniolo could perhaps be seen as a replacement for Christian Eriksen, who still has not extended a contract which will expire in 2020.
