Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp still has faith in Kostas Tsimikas, according to The Athletic.
It has been reported that there is a belief at Liverpool that Tsimikas will get better next season and will be better equipped to ‘ease the burden’ on first-choice left-back Andy Robertson.
It seems that Liverpool are not giving up on the 25-year-old left-back yet.
The Greece international was a relatively cheap signing and was more of a ‘gamble’.
As reported by The Athletic, Liverpool paid Olympiacos £11.75 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2020 for Tsimikas.
The left-back has had injury and fitness issues, and the 2020-21 campaign was a forgettable one for him.

Tsimikas made two substitute appearances in the Premier League and played 131 minutes in the Champions league for Liverpool this season.
Andy Robertson is the first-choice left-back at Liverpool, and that is not going to change anytime soon.
The Scotland international is one of the best left-backs in the world.
Tsimikas will be a back-up to Robertson, but the Greece international will get chances next season.
When the chances come, Tsimikas will have to be ready and has to take them.
The 2021-22 campaign will be massive for the Greece international, who has to show that he can be a success at Liverpool.
