Liverpool are still keen to sign Roma winger Mohamed Salah.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Liverpool are still hopeful of signing Mohamed Salah from Roma.
Liverpool have been tracking Salah for much of the summer so far, but they are at odds with Roma over an asking price for the winger.

Liverpool’s initial bid for the Egyptian was rejected, which has caused Jurgen Klopp to look elsewhere.
The Reds are now thought to be interested in Sporting Lisbon’s winger Gelson Martins.

However, the Mirror insists that Martins is just being lined up as a back-up option, should Liverpool’s move for Salah fail.
Salah is still Klopp’s target, but work needs to be done if a deal is to be completed.
Liverpool are hoping that Roma reduce their asking price for the skilful wide man, which currently stands at £42 million.
