According to 90min, Jürgen Klopp is far from happy with Fenway Sports Group (FSG) over their decision on Gini Wijnaldum’s Liverpool contract.

The report claims that Klopp has personally urged Liverpool’s owners to sanction a renewal for the 73-cap Netherlands international.

Wijnaldum’s contract at Anfield expires in June, and as things stand, it doesn’t look like he’ll be signing a new deal.

The Times revealed that the £90,000-a-week man has already decided to leave Anfield and join Barcelona this summer.

By the sounds of 90min‘s report, that was against Klopp’s wishes, and he has been left angered by FSG’s refusal to keep Wijnaldum around.

The news comes within a report from 90min which states that Bayern Munich will make a move for Klopp, if Hansi Flick joins Germany.

90min add that Klopp was again far from happy with FSG’s recruitment this season.

His plea for a new, top-class centre-back in January fell on deaf ears, as cheap options in Ben Davies and Ozan Kabab were signed instead.

Also, Klopp was told by FSG to wait 12 months for Timo Werner, only to watch the striker join Chelsea in the meantime.

In our view, we highly doubt Klopp will leave Liverpool as a result of these disagreements.

It is, however, interesting to see some cracks emerge in his relationship with FSG.
