Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sell Neco Williams for £17 million, according to The Athletic.
Liverpool to sell Neco Williams to Nottingham Forest
The Athletic have reported that Liverpool will get £17 million from the sale of Wales international right-back Williams to Nottingham Forest, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship.
The report has claimed that former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners Liverpool signed Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen as a replacement for Williams.
Liverpool reportedly paid Aberdeen £6.5 million in transfer fees for right-back Ramsay.
This means that new Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward is about to make a £10.5 million profit over the two deals.

Good deals for Liverpool
In our opinion, Liverpool are about to do a great piece of business by selling Neco Williams to Nottingham Forest for £17 million and signing Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen for £6.5 million, and Ward must be praised.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is the number one right-back at Liverpool, and he is world class and one of the best on the planet in his position.
Maybe even the best.
Now, Williams is a good player and is a Wales international, but he is not at the level of Alexander-Arnold yet.
Ramsay has experience with the Aberdeen first team, and given that he is only 18, he will be happy to learn from Alexander-Arnold and not be desperate to play all the time.
