Tottenham Hotspur have hope of landing Julian Nagelsmann amid claims Chelsea were told he is too similar to Thomas Tuchel.

That is according to a report from The Independent, who claim that Nagelsmann wasn’t overly keen on Chelsea’s structure.

The Blues have been very chaotic this season and Nagelsmann seemingly has reservations about their setup.

The report claims that inside Chelsea, Nagelsmann was being viewed as too similar to Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea sacked Tuchel earlier this season and he has recently replaced Nagelsmann as Bayern Munich boss.

Chelsea didn’t want to go down that route again so have backed away from the German.

It’s added that Nagelsmann is now ‘open’ to an approach from Tottenham as they look for a new manager too.

Antonio Conte has gone and Nagelsmann has been tipped as a potential replacement.

The Chelsea job wasn’t for him but Nagelsmann appears to be at least interested in a move to North London.

Would Julian Nagelsmann really be any better off at Tottenham?

We can understand the fears over Chelsea’s organisational structure and their spending plans under Todd Boehly.

Everything feels very scattergun at Chelsea and maybe just not quite how Nagelsmann would like to work.

Still, would Nagelsmann really see a better option in Tottenham?

Spurs have no director of football right now with Fabio Paratici gone after his worldwide ban.

Tottenham appear to be a club lacking in direction and identity right now and have wasted the last four since reaching the Champions League final.

Add in that star striker Harry Kane may soon want to leave and the Spurs job doesn’t exactly look appealing.

Nagelsmann would be quite the coup for Tottenham but it’s hard to imagine him thinking that the Spurs job is that much better than the Chelsea one.
