According to The Daily Mail, RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is interested in becoming Tottenham Hotspur boss.

Tottenham parted ways with Jose Mourinho on Monday morning, mere days before the Carabao Cup final against with Manchester City.

Nagelsmann is claimed to be Tottenham’s first-choice target, and he has been made aware of their interest in landing him.

The 33-year-old is open to making the move, but there are growing fears that Spurs still won’t manage to make the deal happen.

Spurs are ‘concerned’ that Nagelsmann may prefer Bayern Munich, whilst the cost of his wages and the fee needed to lure him from Leipzig is considered a problem.

That means Spurs are already looking at alternatives, seemingly pessimistic about their hopes of luring Nagelsmann to North London.

If Nagelsmann really is interested in the job, then Spurs would be left kicking themselves should they not at least try to land the German.

Maybe Bayern win the race once Hansi Flick’s future is sorted, maybe the money ends up being extortionate, but Spurs have to at least ask the question.

If they don’t, they may well live to regret it, as Nagelsmann is one of the most exciting coaches in Europe and could really take Tottenham forward.
