Sheffield Wednesday are in the market for a new centre-half.

The Arminia Bielefeld captain, Julian Börner, has signed a three-year contract with Sheffield Wednesday, according to NW.de.
It was reported last month that Börner had agreed to join the Owls at the end of his deal with the second-tier German side.
And it is now being claimed the moving van will arrive next week as the 28-year-old begins to prepare for pre-season training with Sheffield Wednesday, which commences on 1 July.
Börner has also told NW.de that he and his family intend to return to Bielefeld in time for his young daughter to begin elementary school, and will sublet their home in the meantime.

“I’m really up for it and I’m curious to see how I react to the new environment,” the centre-back said of his impending arrival at Hillsborough, and added: “I’ll have to work my way up (to) a new standing.”
Sheffield Wednesday have been left short in Börner’s position after the Owls’ player of the year, Michael Hector, returned to his parent club, Chelsea.

The veteran Czech Republic international, Daniel Pudil, also left at the end of his contract.
Steve Bruce’s side have also been strongly linked with a move for the freed Brentford right-back, Moses Odubajo.
Will Börner be a good addition for Sheffield Wednesday?
