Tottenham target Juan Foyth is understood to be stalling on a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Argentinian newspaper El Dia, Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth is stalling on a move to Paris Saint-Germain despite an agreement between the two clubs.
La Plata-born Foyth, 19, has come up through the ranks with Estudiantes, and having thrived in Argentina this year, he then went on to catch the eye for Argentina at this summer’s Under-20 World Cup in South Korea.

A defender who can also play in holding midfield, Foyth has been tipped for a bright future, and like many players who emerge in South America, he has been strongly linked with a move to Europe this summer.
However, Argentinian newspaper El Dia report that Foyth is in fact stalling over a move to European giants Paris Saint-Germain, with doubts over his playing time in the French capital potential scuppering the move despite an agreement on a €13million (£11.75million) deal.
Whilst PSG may have grabbed the headlines by signing Neymar from Barcelona in a world-record deal, Foyth’s attention is on their defensive options, as Unai Emery already has Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Presnel Kimpembe at his disposal.
Foyth’s path to the first team at the Parc des Princes may therefore be blocked, and it could give Tottenham Hotspur a glimmer of hope that they can swoop in and finally sign the youngster.
El Dia recently claimed that Foyth’s family are more interested in him joining Spurs than PSG, and whilst Sky Sports reported last month that Pochettino is cooling his interest in his compatriot over the asking price involved, this could now be a chance for Spurs to re-enter the race.
Pochettino’s proven track record of giving first-team football to young players means that Foyth should view Tottenham as an ideal home, especially under a former Argentinian international centre back in Pochettino – but whether the Spurs boss will be keen to match the £11.75million fee for an inexperienced talent remains to be seen, especially given that players heading straight to the Premier League from South America often struggle.
