Tottenham are reportedly pursuing a deal for Juan Foyth.
According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth has decided that he wants a move to the Premier League ahead of talks with Tottenham.
Foyth, 19, has come up through the ranks with local club Estudiantes having been born in La Plata, and his performances appear to have attracted interest.
Not only has Foyth featured for Estudiantes, but he also played for Argentina at the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea earlier this summer, with major European clubs watching him.
Now, Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that whilst Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and Roma are all interested in signing Foyth, he has decided that he wants a move to the Premier League instead.
That is certainly great news for Tottenham Hotspur, as the London Evening Standard reported on Monday that Spurs will hold talks over £10million deal for Foyth later this week.
Spurs are looking for greater depth at the back, and teenager Foyth could fit the bill for manager Mauricio Pochettino, who was a former Argentinian international centre back.

In fact, Foyth did tell Radio Continental just days ago that negotiations with Spurs are imminent, and the latest reports point towards him heading to the Premier League this summer.
Also capable of playing in holding midfield, Foyth could be a versatile defensive option similar to Eric Dier, who has enjoyed great success under Pochettino – and with fans waiting for Tottenham’s first summer signing, Foyth could just be that man.
