The FC Koln left-back is a reported transfer target for Liverpool.

According to German publication Kicker, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is still keen on signing FC Koln left-back Jonas Hector, with the German thought to be keen on providing more competition at Anfield for Andrew Robertson.
Hector, 27, is one of the most consistent left-backs in Europe, and has impressed in the Bundesliga this season, despite his side’s struggles.

The FC Koln man has already earned 36 caps for Germany – no small feat considering the depth of quality that Joachim Löw has at his disposal.
Kicker claim that Bayern Munich are leading the race to sign Hector, but suggest that the Merseysiders are still in contention to win the race for his signature.
The German has made 183 appearances for Koln, and is under contract with the Bundesliga side until the summer of 2021.

His side currently sit second from bottom in the table, however, and are five points adrift of safety.
If they do go on to get relegated from the top flight, Hector’s stay in Cologne will surely come to an end, and he would represent a superb signing for Liverpool, if they manage to beat Bayern in the race for his signature of course.
