Newcastle United are reportedly on the verge of selling Joselu to Alaves.

According to a report from the Northern Echo, Joselu is on the verge of sealing his Newcastle exit, with the striker set to complete a move to Alaves in the next 48 hours.
The Spaniard has endured a difficult time on Tyneside, scoring only a handful of goals in over 50 appearances for the Magpies. He found the back of the net just three times in 20 appearances in all competitions during what looks set to be his final season at St James’ Park.
The Northern Echo reports that a £2 million fee has been agreed with Alaves and he is set to travel to Spain in the next two days to undergo a medical. The report adds that he has already agreed personal terms, so his exit should be confirmed as long as there are no problems with his medical.
No great Jos for Newcastle?
After an extremely turbulent few weeks for the Toon Army, it seems unlikely that Joselu’s seemingly-imminent departure is going to leave much of a mark.

Rafa Benitez and Ayoze Perez’s exits are clearly much more significant for Newcastle, even if the 29-year-old’s move away ensures that the Magpies now only have two senior strikers on their books with the new Premier League season just over a month away.
It appears to be a move that suits all parties. Unfortunately for Newcastle fans, that has not often been the case when it comes to deals involving people leaving the club this summer.
