Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers will be hoping that La Liga giants Real Madrid keep faith in Zinedine Zidane for the time being.

Jose Mourinho has made Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves one of his top transfer targets should he return to Real Madrid to replace the under-fire Zinedine Zidane prior to the January transfer window, according to El Desmarque.
Pressure is rising on Zidane after a difficult start to the season and, in the aftermath of Los Blancos’ 1-0 defeat to newly-promoted Real Mallorca at the weekend, Goal reported that Real could bring Mourinho back to the Bernabau should the Frenchman’s underwhelming second spell come to an end.
And if El Desmarque is to be believed, Mourinho will demand a transfer war-chest in excess of £90 million if he is to make a controversial return with Tottenham contract rebel Christian Eriksen and Salzburg wonderkid Erling Braut Haaland on his radar.
So too, apparently, is Neves.
It is no secret that the former Manchester United and Chelsea manager is a big fan of Wolves’ pristine playmaker.

“These two Portuguese boys (Neves and Joao Moutinho) they are both the kind of player that likes to bite, that likes to short distance, to press, they don’t give long time for you to have the ball,” Mourinho told the MEN in September 2018.
The Sun claimed earlier that same month that Mourinho wanted Neves at Old Trafford in a potential £60 million deal.
With Luka Modric and Toni Kroos not getting any younger, it’s no secret that Real Madrid’s midfield is in need of an overhaul and Neves, though he loves life at Wolves, could struggle to turn down a move to arguably the planet’s biggest club.
