Jose Mourinho continues to be linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

According to The Sun, Jose Mourinho is angling for a return to Premier League management in order to set a new trophy record.
Mourinho has been out of management since December 2018, when he lost his job as Manchester United boss having endured a dismal first half of last season.
The Portuguese boss has since turned his hand to punditry, working with Sky Sports this season, but the ultimate goal is getting back into management.
It’s now claimed that Mourinho wants to come back to the Premier League, because he wants to become the first manager to win major trophies with three different Premier League clubs.
His time with Chelsea was trophy-laden, whilst he also won the League Cup and Europa League during his time with United, so the chance to win major honours with another English club is understandably attractive.
There are no major openings yet, but it’s noted that Tottenham already know they can turn to Mourinho if Mauricio Pochettino if he leaves the club, the second link between the two recently.

The Daily Mail claimed earlier this month that Mourinho is eyeing up the Tottenham job, and this latest report adds a little more weight to the idea of Mourinho heading to Spurs if Pochettino leaves any time soon.
Arsenal are also mentioned as a potential destination given Unai Emery’s recent struggles, and unless he ventures outside the traditional ‘big six’, it seems Arsenal and Spurs are the only two clubs that may have vacancies for Mourinho before the end of the season, with United unlikely to bring him back in.
