Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The Daily Mail has reported that Jose Mourinho will try to sign Nemanja Matic from his former club Chelsea for Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Mourinho will succeed Louis van Gaal as the United manager following the Dutchman’s dismissal on Monday evening.
The Portuguese is keen on signing defensive midfielder Matic from his former club Chelsea, according to The Daily Mail.
“Chelsea would look for more than £25m if Mourinho tries to sign Matic,” adds the report.

Matic did not have a great 2015-16 campaign for Chelsea, but the 27-year-old remains one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.
The Serbia international was arguably the London club’s best player during the 2014-15 season when they won the Premier League title under Mourinho.

The former Benfica star would enhance the quality of the current United squad, but it does not appear very feasible that Chelsea would let him leave in the summer transfer window.
It would not be easy for the Blues to find a suitable replacement if Matic leaves in the summer. Moreover, selling the Serbian to United would mean that Chelsea would be strengthening one of their direct rivals for the Premier League title next season.
