According to The Express, Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Liverpool target Thomas Meunier.
It has been reported that Meunier will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month when his current contract runs out, and Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United all want to sign the right-back on a free transfer.
Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho has been tracking the 28-year-old for months and has already spoken to the Belgium international to convince him to move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, according to the report.
Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
Serge Aurier is a good right-back, but he is inconsistent and does make mistakes, while Kyle Walker-Peters was sent out on loan in January.
Tottenham have not really replaced Kieran Trippier in the team since he left last summer, and Meunier would be a good signing, especially on a free transfer.
The right-back has extensive experience at the very top level, and having won league titles and played in the Champions League on a consistent basis at PSG, he would bring with him a winning mentality.
However, with Liverpool also reportedly interested in the defender, Tottenham may not find it easy to persuade the Belgian to switch to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
