According to The Sunday Mirror (28/06, p68), Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho is considering a move for Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez.
It’s claimed that Real have made it known that Vazquez this summer, with a £22.5million release clause in his contract.
However, Real would be willing to offer a discount on that price in order to sell him this summer, with £16millon plus add-ons needed.
Other Premier League clubs are thought to be interested, but Mourinho will know plenty about Vazquez as he was coming through the Real system when Mourinho was Madrid boss.
The 28-year-old has been given just 18 appearances this season, but has still chipped in with three goals and two assists for the Spanish giants.
Vazquez plays almost exclusively on the right flank, meaning he could provide competition for Lucas Moura in that area of the pitch.

Vazquez turns 29 in a matter of days, so Spurs won’t want to invest too much into the Spaniard, but he is hard-working and a decent crosser of the ball.
With money tight at Tottenham this summer, the potential discount could be appealing, and Mourinho’s links to Real could help.
