According to a report from Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, Diego Costa has been offered to both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
The newspaper ran a report about current free agents who could make moves outside of the transfer window following Monday’s deadline.
The likes of Valter Birsa, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Bacary Sagna, Martin Skrtel and Kwadwo Asamoah are all mentioned, but Costa is the big name.
The striker was released by Atletico Madrid last month, and is now on the hunt for a new club having so far been ignored.
Agent Jorge Mendes has allegedly offered Costa to Spurs and West Ham, whilst Boca Juniors are interested in handing him a shock move to Argentina.
Mendes seemingly believes that Spurs and West Ham are realistic destinations given their need for short-term striking additions.

Harry Kane is out injured at the moment and Carlos Vinicius seemingly isn’t trusted with such a big role, so reuniting with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could be appealing.
As for West Ham, they didn’t find a replacement for Sebastien Haller, and Mendes may sense an opportunity for Costa to land a short-term move to East London.
The 32-year-old isn’t the player he once was though, and it seems hard to imagine that either side would commit money to the veteran until the summer, even if he can sign for free.
