According to O Jogo, Benfica boss Jorge Jesus wants to sell striker Carlos Vinicius amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s claimed that Jesus wants to go with summer signings Luca Waldschmidt and Darwin Nunez as his front two this season, meaning Vinicius and Haris Seferovic are being demoted.
Not only that, but Jesus has told the club that he wants to sell both players this summer, somewhat balancing the books and trimming his squad.
This should be of real interest to Tottenham Hotspur, who have allegedly launched two bids for Vinicius in recent times.
TVI24 in Portugal claimed earlier this week that Spurs have made two offers, with the most recent bid totalling around €30million (£27.5million).
Benfica have turned down both bids, leaving Tottenham to consider whether or not to increase their offer as they seek competition for Harry Kane up top.

Jesus wanting to sell Vinicius should now open the door for Spurs to make another move, though it would be little surprise to see Daniel Levy let the situation play out and try to bring the asking price down.
Vinicius, 25, bagged 24 goals and 13 assists last season, and fits the bill as a big and physical target man that Jose Mourinho is looking for; the task will now be to convince Benfica to sell, with Jesus happy for a deal to happen.
