Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes in the January transfer window.
Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes is open to a move to Sheffield Wednesday in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
It has been reported that Rhodes is open to joining Wednesday if he can switch to the Owls on loan.
“The Middlesbrough striker, 26, believes the Owls play his type of attacking football and that he has a chance to repeat his promotion-winning heroics,” states the report in The Sun.

It has also been reported by The Sun that Aston Villa are keen on Rhodes and will sign the striker if they have to.
Rhodes is struggling to play regularly in the Premier League at the moment and has made to make just five appearances for Boro.
The Scotland international striker has yet to score in the league this season and has created two chances.

Wednesday are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season, and signing a striker like Rhodes is certainly going to help them in their objective.
Villa, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, are also going strong in the Championship at the moment.
Rhodes scored six goals and created 12 chances in 17 Championship appearances for Middlesbrough last season.
