West Ham United’s Jordan Hugill is reportedly set for a move to Middlesbrough.

According to Sky Sports, Middlesbrough are set to sign West Ham United forward Jordan Hugill, with the player on Teesside for a medical.
Boro are looking for attacking reinforcements having suffered two major exits over the last week, with Adama Traore joining Wolverhampton Wanderers and Patrick Bamford moving on to Leeds United.
A winger will certainly be on Tony Pulis’s radar after Traore’s exit earlier today, but he seems to have found a striker to come in and fill the gap left by Bamford’s exit.
Sky Sports report that West Ham United’s Jordan Hugill is currently on Teesside for a medical with Boro ahead of completing a move, though it’s currently unclear whether it will be a loan deal or a permanent move.
Hugill, 26, only joined West Ham from Preston North End in January, as David Moyes took a chance on the former non-league man after scoring 10 goals in 29 games for the Lilywhites last season.
However, Hugill has become an outcast at the London Stadium, as after playing just 22 minutes of Premier League action last season, he has been frozen out of a number of pre-season friendlies by Manuel Pellegrini.

Now, Hugill looks set to return to the Championship, and the move is something of a dream for Middlesbrough-born Hugill, who grew up supporting Boro and idolised strikers Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Mark Viduka.
Hugill will now get his dream move to his boyhood club, and he looks to be perfect for Pulis given his work rate and natural target man ability, giving Middlesbrough another proven Championship striker to work with.
