Celtic are reportedly set to sign striker Jonathan Afolabi.

According to The Herald, Celtic are set to complete the signing of striker Jonathan Afolabi, who was most recently with Southampton.
The Bhoys are in the market for first-team reinforcements this summer, but have also been looking to the future with some talented young signings.
Bolton midfielder Luca Connell and Tottenham goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi joined the club earlier this summer, whilst Rosenborg defender Leo Hjelde recently arrived too.
Now, it’s claimed that Celtic are nearing a deal for ex-Southampton attacker Afolabi, who left the Saints this summer after his contract expired.
It’s claimed that Lokomotiv Moscow and Real Valladolid have both been beaten to Afolabi, with English clubs also pipped to the youngster’s signature.
Afolabi, 19, has featured alongside Connell in the Ireland Under-19 setup, but can still choose to represent Nigeria down the line.

He played 14 times for Southampton in Premier League 2 lat season, notching four goals and two assists, and even played two EFL Trophy games.
Afolabi will now hope to settle in at Celtic, and whilst he’s one for the future, he appears to be an exciting addition for the Bhoys.
